What is a BAIID?
An Ignition Interlock device measures a driver's breath alcohol content (BAC) and is installed into automobiles to prevent drunk driving. The breath alcohol ignition interlock device (BAIID) requires the driver to pass a breath test prior to starting their automobile. Drivers are required to take random tests (sometimes referred to as rolling test) while operating their automobile as required by state law.

Our BAIID Program
Ignition interlock device installation takes approximately one hour and includes training on operating the BAIID. We will provide you with a certificate of installation required by the Iowa and Illinois Department of Transportation to obtain your work permit.
After the BAIID installation, the law requires you to come back every 60 days for a recalibration of your ignition interlock device. Recalibrating the device takes approximately 5 minutes.
At the completion of our program, the ignition interlock device will be removed from your automobile by our technician. Removal of the BAIID takes approximately 20 minutes. We will provide you with a certificate of completion required by the Iowa and Illinois Department of Transportation to get full reinstatement of your driving privileges.
